Adult Small Group Faith Sharing seeks to bring parishioners together, in small groups, in order to more deeply understand and live our Catholic Christian faith and to grow in community. We do this by meeting weekly for six weeks each semester, praying, reading from Scripture, sharing our faith stories, and seeking to apply our faith more closely to our lives. Our discussions are drawn from Scripture and Church tradition. Each meeting examines a different aspect of the common yearly theme.  
This year's theme is 'Christian Prayer.' Beginning on the week of October 3 and running through mid November, small groups will meet once a week for one and a half hours in the home of a parishioner or in a room on the Parish Campus. Sessions are led by a lay group leader, whose function is to facilitate the sharing. Typically, groups begin with a prayer and a song. This is followed by a brief sharing of how each member lived the Good News in the past week. Attention then turns to the topic of the day. Participants will have prepared for the topic by doing a reading from a common text that is drawn from the Scriptures and Church tradition. They are then encouraged to contribute their experiences pertaining to the given topic. Towards the end of each session, the group chooses an action item (either individual or group) to pursue during the coming week. The session ends with a prayer. Theme for the 2011-2012 year:
