Christian Service Ministry

The Christian Service Ministry (CSM) of St. Augustine's has as its explicit mission, "to foster the participation of our parish members in volunteering their time and talent to organizations serving the many and varied needs of the greater Gainesville community." Activities of the Christian Service Ministry are frequently advertised at in St. Augustine's weekly bulletin, Mass announcements, in periodic CSM Newsletters and in the glass-encased bulletin board in the parish courtyard. Programs Helping Children, Elderly, Handicapped

Individual parish groups may choose to do service projects in the Gainesville community independent of the resources and activities of the Christian Service Ministry, and these individual efforts generally are advertised in the parish's Sunday Bulletin or in the weekly Mass Announcements.

 

Friends Across the Ages nursing home outreach, lead by parishioners Steve and Allison Blay, recently had another feature article appear in The Gainesville Sun.
