St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society: “Serving the Lord one person at a time.”

Food Pantry: Provide food for the needy, elderly, and disabled. Donate non-perishable food items year-round in the red St. Vincent de Paul tub in the church vestibule.

Emergency Assistance: Help with rent and utilities. Mail your tax-deductable check donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (500 NE 16th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601).

Hats for the Homeless: Help us knit/crochet hats and blankets for the homeless.
To volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, contact Gary Matthews (352-378-5701) or Kris Gillespie (352-672-6525 or kristine8155@yahoo.com).
To donate large or bulky items (such as used but useable furniture, wheelchairs, etc.), call Max McDougald (352-283-6443) to arrange for pick-up.
The St. Vincent de Paul HOME Van (Homeless Outreach Mobile Effort) delivers food & clothing to some of the most vulnerable people in our community. The HOME Van is always in need of the following items:
- canned meats (such as Vienna sausages)
- other non-perishable food items
- toiletries
- pet food
- socks
- candles
- coats and clothing
- backpacks and tote bags
- insect repellent
- sleeping bags
- tarps
Place these items in the red St. Vincent de Paul Society tub in the church vestibule.
To volunteer with the HOME Van, contact Arupa Freeman (372-4825 or barupa@atlantic.net). To help financially, mail your tax-deductable check donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (307 SE 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32601) with “HOME Van” on the memo line.
