St. Francis House
St. Francis House provides emergency food, temporary shelter, transitional housing, and related support services to the homeless and hungry of Alachua County.
Volunteers are needed in several aspects of our agency:
- Client Services Assistants are needed to answer phones, hand out supplies to clients, and provide additional administrative support. Client Services volunteers are needed 24/7.
- Kitchen volunteers can choose any day of the week/weekend between 6 AM and 1 PM to help prepare and serve lunch.
- Evening meal groups are responsible for buying, preparing, and serving a meal for the residents to be served between 5 and 6 PM.
- The shelter is also involved in children's activities, office work, and fund-raising.
For more information, or to set up times to volunteer, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Samantha Holding at sfhcoor@stfrancis.cfcoxmail.com or at 352-378-9079.
