Fall 2009 Alpha Retreat
October 2-4

ALPHA is a 3-day weekend retreat that takes place once each Fall and Spring semester.  It is a great way to get introduced to the St. Augustine community and to all it has to offer. Spend the weekend away from campus and learn more about yourself and your relationship with God. This retreat is an awesome opportunity to get to know other college students in an atmosphere that allows you to experience the unconditional love God has for you. Join the ALPHA community for a weekend of discovery, fun, and life-long friendships.
Applications for the retreat will be available in the parish office closer to the date of the retreat. Bring your application with a $10 deposit or the entire retreat fee of $55 (cash or check made to St. Augustine Church).  If you have questions, please email one of the leaders below or call the church at 372-3533. Scroll down for details about what to bring on the retreat.

Practical things:
- Bring a sleeping bag (or sheets and a blanket) as well as your pillow.
- Bring your own towels and toiletries.
- Bring a snack to share with the group (Cookies, cupcakes, chips, etc.)
- Bring jeans, sweatshirts, socks, comfortable shoes, sweaters, jackets. We'll be outside (though we do sleep in heated cabins). Bring a rain poncho or umbrella, just in case. And a flashlight is helpful, too. (Don't worry, there are indoor showers/bathrooms!)
- Do not bring homework, radios, etc. Activities on the weekend take up almost all of our time; there is not time for other activities like studying (prepare for tests in advance of the trip so you can better experience the retreat).
- Label your valuables with your name and phone number, just in case you lose something over the weekend.
- Arrive at St. Augustine Church (1738 W. University Ave.) at 5 p.m. on Friday evening. You may park in the church parking lot for free. Tell the attendant you are there for the Alpha Retreat. Your car will be stored safely in the gated yard of Hurley Hall. The Alpha Team members will drive you to the Retreat location at Camp Crystal.

We hope you're able to join us on the next Alpha Retreat!
